Under Wood Heating foil mats are ideal for use in any room. Including bathrooms and even wet areas. The heat mats can be cut and turned, leaving the wire uncut. Multiple heating mats joined together, will achieve the required floor coverage. When fitting underfloor heating suitable insulation should always be used. Especially over concrete subfloors, as they absorb heat in seconds! Whereas the insulation layer bounces the heat straight up into your room. Under Wood Heating Foil Mat Floor Build Up
Starting at the subfloor either wood or concrete sub straight. The next layer will be the impact plus insulation. Creating a base to lay your underfloor heating foil mats as well as insulate the floor, the impact plus also protects the heating from any sharp or pointed objects from the subfloor. Once your insulation is laid the foil heat mats can be laid directly onto the insulation. The wood or laminate floor covering can then go straight onto, the heat foil mats. So, in conclusion, the floor will be raised dependent on a few variables. 6mm impact plus insulation. 2.5mm Underfloor Heating foil mats. Wood or laminate in this example 10mm. Making a total additional floor height of 18.5mm.
