Starting at the subfloor either wood or concrete sub straight. The next layer will be the impact plus & XPS insulation. Creating a base to lay your underfloor heating foil mats as well as insulate the floor, the impact plus also protects the heating from any sharp or pointed objects from the subfloor.Once your insulation is laid the foil heat mats can be laid directly onto the insulation. The wood or laminate floor covering can then go straight onto, the heat foil mats.
